The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s 2023/24 season will mark the 30th Anniversary of the Talent Development Program™ (TDP). The trailblazing program is a first-of-its-kind initiative among U.S. orchestras, designed to identify, mentor, and develop middle and high school Atlanta musicians of African American and Latine heritage for careers as professional classical musicians.

Representatives from Pathway Programs across the country recently gathered in Atlanta for the third Building Bridges Symposium, presented by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Equity Arc. The team from Equity Arc presented findings from the 2023 National Collective Pathways Census Report.
