Isaiah Villegas is a ninth-grade student at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, where he plays in the Mastery Orchestra under the direction of Sergio Rodriguez. He began playing the cello in sixth grade and quickly demonstrated remarkable dedication. By the end of seventh grade, his orchestra director encouraged him to pursue private lessons. 

Since joining the Talent Development Program, Isaiah has been studying with Karen Freer, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Acting Associate/Assistant Principal Cellist. He was a member of the GMEA District 12 Middle School Honor Orchestra in 2022 and 2023. Isaiah is looking forward to joining a regional youth orchestra in the coming months and continuing to develop his skills.
