Leyah James, Class of 2023

Biography

Leyah James is in the Magnet Program at Kennesaw Mountain High School. She has been studying violin for 6 years. During this time, she has participated in the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, GMEA All-State, Franklin Pond, Atlanta Chamber Music Festival, and is currently a member of the ASYO Digital Academy. Leyah is also the concertmistress of her school orchestra. Some of her highlight performances include Holiday Concerts at the Governor's Mansion and East Point City Hall. Leyah also performed at the Annual Talent Development Program Musicale with her TDP fellows. She is planning to become a professional orchestral musician.
