Sean Mouzon is a 16-year-old French Hornist who balances his time between homeschooling and attending Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, GA. His passion for the French Horn began at a young age, sparked by a TV show character who played Mozart on the instrument. At 9 years old, he chose the French Horn in band class and has since expanded his repertoire to include the mellophone and marching French Horn.
Sean's musical journey has included performing with his high school wind ensemble, participating in the Honor Band, and attending JanFest. He has received instruction from notable teachers including Anthony Pickard, James Seda, William May, Trayon Hall, and Richard Williams.
In the summer of 2023, Sean was accepted into the Talent Development Program and currently studies with Ryan Little. He is a member of the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra and has attended several music camps and programs, including FAMU’s Summer Band Camp, the Atlanta Music Project, Precision Band Camp, and Georgia Mass Band. Additionally, he has performed with the Atlanta University Orchestra.
Outside of music, Sean enjoys tennis, gaming, and Marvel Movies. He plans to major in music performance in college after graduating from the TDP program.
