HBCU Nights at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Join the HBCU Alliance (Feb. 16) and the Divine Nine (Feb. 15) at Symphony Hall with other HBCU students and alumni for a concert celebrating Atlanta artists and composers. The famed choirs from Morehouse and Spelman Colleges perform in a program curated by GRAMMY™ nominated composer Carlos Simon, who packs a powerful social conscience into many of his works that explore contemporary life in Black America.

Concert Info

Before the concert at 6:30pm, we will hear from local leaders and activists as we dive deeper into the social justice themes of the work, brea(d)th, composed by Carlos Simon and Marc Bamuthi-Joseph in honor of George Floyd. Panelists will explore how we can build a more equitable future through the platforms of music and art.

Divine Nine Night | February 15
