About

Pack a picnic and bring your friends and family to an unforgettable evening of music under the stars as your Orchestra returns to Piedmont Park's Oak Hill for a FREE concert. Experience one of Atlanta's most cherished summer traditions while savoring the natural beauty of the park and the stunning sounds of your Atlanta Symphony.

William R. Langley conducts the evening's program, featuring a selection of orchestral favorites and a special preview of ASO's two-season epic endeavor, the Beethoven Project. Program selections will include movements from Beethoven's iconic Symphony No. 5, Rimsky-Korsakov's intriguing Scheherazade, and works by Jesse Montgomery and Adolphus Hailstork.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as seating with a good view of the stage is first-come, first-served. Admission is free to the public and tickets are not required. There will also be food trucks with beverages to complete the picnic experience. Family-friendly activities will be hosted by the ASO Education and Community Engagement Department.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concerts in the Park are presented by the Charles Loridans Foundation, Inc. Major support is provided by the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Fulton County Arts and Culture, the Georgia Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
